This 12 cm (4.5″) cable has six 28 AWG wires and a 6-pin female JST SH-type connector that works with our Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders with top-entry connectors and with side-entry connectors. The other ends of the wires are unterminated; they can be cut to length to match your application.

Overview

This cable is designed to work with our Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders with top-entry connector and with side-entry connector. It consists of six 28 AWG color-coded wires that are terminated on one end by a female JST SH-type connector.

The other ends of the wires are unterminated and can be cut to match the length of your application. You can use our male or female crimp pins and crimp connector housings to make a connector for the unterminated end of the cable that is compatible with standard solderless breadboards, perfboards, 0.1″ male headers, and 0.1″ female headers.

This cable also works with our JST SH-style connector breakout board (available in top-entry and side-entry versions):

Use with Micro Metal Gearmotor Encoders

When used with our encoders, the wire color scheme is as follows:

Color Function
Red motor power (connects to one motor terminal)
Black motor power (connects to the other motor terminal)
Blue encoder Vcc
Yellow encoder A output
White encoder B output
Green encoder GND
